PCSL CLUB AFFILIATION

Remember, PCSL club affiliation will never be required to run the PCSL format. Ranges and clubs may always use or adapt the PCSL ruleset to run unaffiliated “PCSL Level 0” events - including unaffiliated major matches - no interaction required with the PCSL organization itself!

We are working on a fully integrated club dashboard which will be implemented alongside the competitor dashboard in the near future. But it’s time to start bringing on club affiliates NOW so that we can begin implementing our PCR (PCSL Competitor Rating) system with real data from clubs.

AFFILIATION BENEFITS

  1. Ability to run PCSL-Sanctioned events of our various types: 2-Gun, Pistol Caliber 2-Gun, Pistol, Rifle, 3-Gun, and Shotgun.

  2. Classification System & PCR Eligibility: Results from affiliated matches will be used to calculate competitor rankings in the PCSL Competitor Rating (PCR) system. Note that not all match types may be eligible for the PCR system. 2-Gun will be first, with Rifle and Pistol to follow.

  3. PCSL Forum Promotion: Clubs may promote events and communicate with members through an official club-managed thread on the PCSL forums.

  4. PCSL Directory Listing: PCSL will publish a directory of Club Affiliates on our website with plans to implement an interactive map for ease of discovery.

  5. Eligibility to Host Level 2 and 3 Events: Club Affiliates may apply to host Level 2 and Level 3 major matches, subject to criteria detailed in the forthcoming PCSL Match Level Schedule.

  6. Match Format Support: PCSL may provide club affiliates with resources, templates, and support to assist clubs in hosting these match formats in accordance with PCSL standards.

AFFILIATION REQUIREMENTS

  1. Minimum Member Interest: Club Affiliate must submit a list of at least ten (10) PCSL members interested in participating in the club.

  2. Club Name and Abbreviation: The club must select a unique name and corresponding abbreviation (e.g. Southern Utah Practical Shooters/SUPS)

  3. Have a Primary Club Contact: Typically the club MD or person submitting the affiliation application.

  4. Host Range Information: Provide the name, address, email, and phone number of the range where events will be hosted.

  5. Match Requirements: Host at least one PCSL-Sanctioned match per quarter of any of the following types: PCSL 2-GUN, PCSL PISTOL CALIBER 2-GUN, PCSL PISTOL, or PCSL RIFLE.

  6. Affiliation Fee: PCSL Club Affiliates simply pay a $300 flat yearly fee. No shooter activity fees will be charged. If your club affiliates any time in 2025, the first $300 fee will apply to the calendar year of 2026, and your club will be affiliated for the rest of 2025 at no charge!

  7. Compliance with PCSL Rules: All Level 1 or higher matches must be conducted in accordance with the PCSL Rules.

  8. Maintaining a Current & Sufficient Insurance Policy: Proof of an insurance policy for the host club or range must be provided to PCSL, and PCSL may require the club’s insurance policy to include PCSL as an additional insured party.

  9. Membership Requirements: If competitors wish to participate in more than one sanctioned match at the affiliate club, the club must require the competitor to sign up as a PCSL member, at least at the free tier of membership. The competitor must register for sanctioned PCSL matches with a valid PCSL member ID (member IDs are provided at the free tier of membership, available at competitor.pcsleague.com)
